Pour One Up is hitting all streaming services May 2nd – my first single since the final of The Voice.

I'm thrilled to announce that my newest single will be available for streaming in the beginning of May! Producer Hugo Risdal and I have been working together for almost nine months, and "Pour One Up" is the first single in the line of this new era of my career.

Not long after the final of The Voice last year, I got in touch with Hugo, and we started up with some studio sessions. After a while, we had a good amount of songs we were happy with, and started recording earlier this year. Pour One Up was, if not the first, than at least one of the first four songs I put on the table, and we quickly agreed it would be our first release.

I wrote the song last summer, a short while after a conversation I had with my The Voice-coach Ina Wroldsen. She gave me songwriting advice, and ended up referring two songs that she "challenged" me to write a mix between. That resulted in "Pour One Up" – a high-energy country anthem designed to lift spirits and bring people together. Embracing the moment, raising a glass, and having a good time — whether you're at a tailgate, a bar, or just kicking back with friends. I wanted to write a mix of these two songs that felt instantly familiar and fun, with big singalong moments, upbeat production, and a hook that sticks.
