Road More Known Tour 2022 Recap

Arthur Stulien

Oct 15, 2022

The summer of 2022 has been one of my busiest, and therefore most eventful, with both good and bad experiences. My first tour, and on top of it all, it involved trips to my Scandinavian friends in Denmark and Sweden, in addition to France and Lithuania, and my home, Norway.

Kicking this tour off in my hometown Byremo was somewhat nostalgic, and you might say "romantic" for me. The place that has given me an amazing upbringing, in very musical surroundings, thanks a lot to the Byremo "Musikkverksted", which just turned 35 years this fall! Myself, The Stage Men and #RoadMoreKnownTour2022 were also represented there.

In slightly varying constellations, this summer we have been on the stages of Jølster Aurefest, Tingvatns Tinget, AMERICAN FESTIVAL in Vanse, River Valley Countryfestival, Country In Mirande, Fiskebrygga Kristiansand, Jack's Country Saloon, Countryfestivalen in Seljord, Trøkk n' Truck, Tarptautinis Visagino Countryfestivalis, Nashville Nights, Bortelid Haustmarknad, and finally at Teateret in Kristiansand. Then, of course, there are four British stages that we would have liked to have also placed in the post here, but it was unfortunately and regrettably not possible to recreate this time... But I will come sooner or later, Great Britain!

Firstly, I would like to extend a big thank you to Kulturrådet (Cultural council in Norway), Cultiva Ekspress (Kristiansand municipality), and Music Norway who have supported this project and made it financially possible to carry out. It is very much appreciated! I also have to thank my wonderful managers and colleagues at Brandsdal Group and Netthandelen.no who not only allow me but also make the best possible arrangements so that I can continue to work with music. And not least, they tolerate a "cowboy" in the office, haha!

I can't write a post like this without thanking everyone who comes to our shows, whether it's at home in Norway, Denmark, Sweden, France, or Lithuania. It is you who make this possible, you are the ones I WANT to do this for, and it is incredibly appreciated that you listen to the music and come out to the shows.

Thank you!

This would not have been possible without you.

Last, but certainly not least, it is important for me to bring out the great musicians I have with me as well. Not only do they persevere with a certain, sometimes demanding, artist, haha! But they play to the best of their ability, and we have a camaraderie that I value highly. Big thanks to Vidar Dale (steel guitar), Christian A. Seneger (drums), Kim Roger Larsen (piano/ keys), Lasse Ketil Pleym (guitar), Michael Barrett Donovan (fiddle), Kristian VÃ¥gsnes (bass guitar), Syver Haugli (guitar), Tommy Jacksonville (drums) and Per Erik Olsen (bass).

This post suddenly became a bit longer than I thought when I started writing. Well, anyway! All in all, I am very happy with what we have experienced and delivered on stage, and we are amazed with what you in the audience have delivered in front of the stage.

If you're still here, I want to thank you for your attention, and I hope that you like the video with a little recap from this summer! See you soon!
